File Download and Streaming Test Page

Students can gain access to the lecture component of a distance learning course almost immediately upon conclusion of the class session each day. Course lectures are videotaped in state-of-the-art multimedia classrooms, and then available for students to download onto their computers or view via streaming video. To successfully download or stream the files, it is recommended students have a broadband internet connection - i.e. DSL, cable or equivalent.

Once the video file is posted to the distance learning course website, students can stream the file and view the course lecture immediately. With the streaming option, adequate bandwidth is necessary to ensure the video file plays without interruptions. If a student is having problems streaming the video, the download option is recommended. Downloading the video file puts the entire file onto the student's system rather than having it stream across the internet. The time needed to download the video file is contingent upon the student's internet connection, but if necessary the file can be downloaded at an off-peak time and then viewed at the student's convenience.

An audio-only version of the file also is posted for students to download.

Please follow these instructions to download the test file or view it via streaming video. Contact the program coordinator Brent Guinn with questions or difficulties.
