American Society for Engineering Management
2011 International Annual Conference
October 19-22, 2011
Hosted by Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, USA
The International Annual Conference of the American Society for Engineering Management provides a forum for practicing engineers, educators, and students to present and discuss research findings, best practices, current projects, and contemporary issues in engineering management. Outstanding papers will be considered for expansion and possible publication in Engineering Management Journal.
Lubbock is located on the edge of the southern Great Plains of North America. When Francisco Vasquez de Coronado first explored the area in the 1500s, he planted posts in order to know from which direction he came; hence the region is known as the "llano estacado", or "staked plains." The theme reflects this heritage of exploration, firm groundings, and acknowledges the challenges and opportunities engineering managers face.
In addition to technical paper sessions, workshops, tutorials, and competitions, technical tours to local industry and social gatherings will provide attendees an opportunity to network at many different levels.
